Om Faris Jimie 

Faris Mahmud Jimie is the founder of Asaas Consulting AB and has a solid background in educational and career guidance, labor market issues, integration, and cross-cultural communication. He is driven by a strong desire to support and guide people in finding their path forward—whether it relates to education, employment, or personal development.

Faris has personal experience of arriving in Sweden as a refugee from Eritrea at the age of 22, in 2012, and knows firsthand how crucial the right support and guidance are to building a new life in a new country. This experience has been a powerful motivation in his work, where he now focuses on supporting newly arrived job seekers, adult education participants, international talents, and students in finding opportunities in Sweden and having the courage to pursue their dreams.

He studied at Umeå University, where he completed the Study and Career Guidance Program, and also has qualifications in social pedagogy, migration, integration, motivational interviewing (MI), and intercultural encounters.

Faris also works as a Cross-Cultural Facilitator for the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the UN migration agency, where he provides civic orientation to quota refugees before their arrival in Sweden. Through a respectful and culturally aware approach, he prepares newcomers for life in a new society and promotes sustainable integration.

Through his company, Asaas Consulting, he offers individualized guidance, civic orientation, and support to both individuals and organizations. Faris is especially passionate about issues related to inclusion and hope for the future, and his work is characterized by a guiding and empowering approach. With a strong focus on newly arrived individuals, he strives to equip people with motivation, hope, and practical tools to navigate Swedish society—and in doing so, build bridges between people.
